Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have premiered a second trailer for “Speak No Evil,” the upcoming U.S. remake of 2022 Danish psychological horror thriller “Gaesterne”.
Filmmaker James Watkins, who did the Daniel Radcliffe-led “The Woman in Black” remake and the infamously brutal “Eden Lake,” helms the film.
The story follows an American family who are invited by a couple and their mute son to their country house for a weekend holiday.
The hosts soon begin to test the limits of their guests as the situation escalates – initially from passive-aggressive behaviours to a dark secret related to the hosts and this cabin.
Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy play the invited family whilst James McAvoy and Aisling Franciosi play the hosts. Alix West Lefler and Daniel Hough play the kids of the respective families.
The script is based on the original by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup. Jason Blum and Paul Ritchie are producing.
“Speak No Evil” will open in cinemas on September 13th.
