Countdown
Elliot Knight (“The Boys”), Violett Beane (“God Friended Me”) and Uli Latukefu (“MaXXXine”) will join the Jensen Ackles-led series “Countdown” for Amazon MGM Studios. Derek Haas serves as showrunner, while Jessica Camacho and Eric Dane co-star.

Ackles plays an LAPD officer brought into a secret task force with agents from a host of law enforcement agencies. Lucas plays an FBI terrorism expert, Beane a tech-savvy FBI graduate, and Latukefu an LAPD Gangs and Narcotics division veteran. [Source: THR]

Fourth Wing
Moira Walley-Beckett (“Breaking Bad,” “Anne with an E”) has been set as showrunner on Prime Video’s “Fourth Wing” based on Rebecca Yarros’ best-selling Empyrean book series.

The story follows a twenty-year-old cadet doing her best to survive the brutal and elite world of Basgiath War College where she’s forced to join the candidates for the next class of dragon riders – the elites of their kingdom of Navarre. [Source: Variety]

Pachinko
Apple TV+ has premiered the trailer for the second season of its multigenerational saga “Pachinko” which returns Friday, August 23rd with one episode followed by weekly runs through October 11th.

In the new season the parallel stories pick up in Osaka in 1945, where Sunja is forced to make dangerous decisions for her family’s survival during World War II, and in Tokyo in 1989, which finds Solomon exploring new, humble beginnings.

Emily in Paris
Netflix has shared the official trailer for the return of the hit romantic comedy series “Emily in Paris” with the five-episode first part of its fourth season arriving August 15th and the second part coming on September 12th.

After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling as she tries to enjoy the perks of being single for the first time in a long while, while her complicated drama with Gabriel and Alfie continues.
