The currently in production next “Jurassic World” film looks to be called “Jurassic World Rebirth” according to World of Reel.
Amblin Entertainment has reportedly filed several new trademarks under that title including: “multimedia products, physical merchandise products, clothing, soaps and beauty products, toys and action figures, food products and more.”
The title fits with this ‘semi-reboot’ of the franchise which takes place after the events of “Jurassic World: Dominion” and revolves around all new characters, locations, and dinosaurs.
Gareth Edwards (“The Creator,” “Godzilla,” “Rogue One”) directs the film from a script by original “Jurassic Park” scribe David Koepp.
The stacked cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Jonathan Bailey, David Iacono, Luna Blaise and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo star.
A month-long shoot took place in Thailand starting mid-June. Production has now moved to Malta for at least two months before heading to the UK for another month – the project aims to wrap mid-October.
Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley produce the film which is set for a July 2nd 2025 release.
