Netflix has premiered the first featurette for the currently in production fifth an final season of its beloved supernatural series “Stranger Things”.
The streamer captions the video posting with a note confirming the new season has hit the halfway mark through production. Shooting on the project began at the start of the year and is expected to run til near year’s end.
The clip sees the cast and crew on the show’s set along with glimpses of various sets to be used and some scenes being filmed.
The series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman.
Also back are Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna and Amybeth McNulty as Vickie, while the cast will be joined by “Terminator” veteran Linda Hamilton.
Newly announced to be joining are Nell Fisher (“Bookworm”), newcomer Jake Connelly and Alex Breaux (“Joe Pickett”).
The series is created and executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, who also serve as showrunners. Executive producers are Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Patterson.
