Multiple outlets, including Insider Gaming, Game Rant and CBM, are all reporting that a group is claiming to have hacked into Disney with allegations that 1.1TB of data has been compromised.
The group has reportedly gained access to the company’s internal Slack, and the data in question allegedly includes news on unreleased projects and concept art.
The group has reportedly not confirmed that the breach is legitimate and Disney has yet to comment on the alleged hack. Following the claim, the group’s website has seemingly been knocked offline.
None of the allegedly stolen content has been released online yet, though some are suggesting the recently leaked details of the unannounced video game sequel “Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2” might be the first sign.
If the reports are true, this would mark the latest media company to have experienced such a breach following in the wake of Rockstar Games and Insomniac Games suffering devastating breaches in recent times.
The reports follow in the wake of a one-hour Marvel Studios panel being announced for Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 27th.
