July 12, 2024 – Today, NetEase Games and Marvel Games revealed their presence at San Diego Comic-Con for  Marvel Rivals, the new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains battling with unique super powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. Marvel Rivals will be running their closed beta program beginning July 23 and concluding August 5. The Marvel Rivals team will also host a special closed beta preview livestream on July 22 at 8 PM PT on Discord, Twitch and YouTube.

Marvel Rivals Brings Marvel Magic to San Diego Comic-Con 2024

Marvel Rivals is set to electrify this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with a series of captivating events and exclusive content. Attendees can immerse themselves in the Marvel Rivals experience through playable demos, insightful panels, and special giveaways, ensuring that the Marvel booth will be a must-visit destination.

Marvel Rivals: The Story, Art and Sound of the Game

Join the Marvel Rivals panel for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the next great Super Hero shooter game. Get insights from the NetEase Games creative team, including Jinghua Duan (Lead Narrative Designer), Dino Ma (Art Director), and Donger Gan (Narrative Designer), along with the Marvel Games creative team: Danny Koo (Executive Producer), Dakota Maysonet (Creative Development Manager), and Dan LaDuca (Senior Art Director). This panel will be moderated by Ryan Penagos (VP & Creative Executive of Digital Marketing) as the teams delve into the story, art, and sound design of the game. Expect exclusive reveals, including a new game trailer and special guest appearances!

Marvel Rivals Special Presentation

4:30 PM PDT – 5:00 PM PDT, Marvel Booth

The Marvel Rivals team will join the Marvel Games crew for a special presentation that includes a brand-new trailer, more game details, and special giveaways, including an SDCC exclusive Galacta lithograph, for fans who sign up to play the demo. Fans can collect them after signing up for the demo in the virtual queue system, while supplies last.

 

Marvel Rivals Community Livestream

10:00 PM PDT, Discord

Can’t make it to SDCC this year? No need to worry as the Marvel Rivals team will host a livestream on Discord with a full recap of all the announcements and activities including new content updates, SDCC exclusive merch highlights, and a full recap of the Marvel Rivals panel.

Marvel Rivals Signing Session

3:15 PM PDT – 4:15 PM PDT, Marvel Booth

The Marvel Rivals team will host a special poster signing session with a surprise guest.

Marvel Rivals closed beta program will include all the content from the recent Closed Alpha Test, plus Marvel favorites Venom and Adam Warlock who are joining the all-star roster to make a total of 21 playable heroes ready to battle in iconic Marvel locations including the newly revealed TOKYO 2099: SPIDER-ISLANDS map. Accessible on all major platforms including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, featuring cross-platform play across available regions, this large-scale test will invite players in North America, Europe and other regions. Players can sign up now for access at the Marvel Rivals Steam store starting 3pm PT on July 20th. Players can also secure beta access through the official Twitch Drop event starting 5pm PT on July 25th through 5pm PT on July 28th.
