Possession
Paramount Pictures is reportedly closing deals with Robert Pattinson and filmmaker Parker Finn (“Smile”) to tackle the remake of Andrzej Zulawski’s cult 1981 psychological supernatural horror film “Possession”.

Finn will write the script, direct and produce while Pattinson will produce, his acting involvement to be determined at a later date. The original starred Sam Neill and Isabella Adjani as a divorcing couple who descends into a destructive cycle – murder, tentacled alien creatures and doppelgangers come into play as well. Crumble
Acclaimed animation power house LAIKA has acquired the live-action feature “Crumble” from writer-director Brian Duffield (“No One Will Save You,” “Whalefall”) and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Duffield will direct the project from his original script about a married couple who end up on a globe-trotting adventure as they pursue the cure to an ancient curse. Lord, Miller and Aditya Sood will produce. [Source: THR]

Fuze
Sam Worthington and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Elham Ehsas and Honor Swinton-Byrne in the thriller “Fuze” which has begun filming in London.

David Mackenzie (“Starred Up,” “Hell or High Water”) directs the film in which the discovery of a long-buried World War II bomb in central London which sparks a city-wide evacuation, while a group of men exploit the chaos to their own ends. Ben Hopkins penned the script. [Source: THR]

Deadpool & Wolverine
Marvel Studios has officially released the recent TV promo for “Deadpool & Wolverine” that tied into ABC reality series “The Bachelorette”. Star Ryan Reynolds posted the spot on his account, a one-minute promo with a heavy emphasis on cheeky humor. The film itself opens July 26th.
