By Paramount Pictures has premiered the official first poster for Ridley Scott’s mega-budget epic sequel to 2000’s “Gladiator”. The one sheet comeas ahead of the film’s first trailer release tomorrow.
Paul Mescal stars as a grown-up version of the child Lucius, son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen who also returns). Pedro Pascal plays a general who has grown conflicted with whom he serves.
Denzel Washington plays a grudge-holding former gladiator who pulls the strings behind the scenes for his own purposes. Joseph Quinn is the bloodthirsty tyrant Emperor Geta and Fred Hechinger plays his meeker brother Geta.
Also starring in the $300 million film are Djimon Hounsou, Matt Lucas, Lior Raz, Peter Mensah, May Calamawy, Tim McInnerny and Derek Jacobi.
David Scarpa penned the film which is set to open in cinemas internationally from November 15th and in U.S. cinemas on November 22nd.
