Netflix has premiered the first trailer for the sixth and final season of its celebrated “The Karate Kid” spin-off “Cobra Kai”.
The final season will be divided into three different parts of five episodes each. The first five launch on July 18th ahead of the second on November 28th. The ‘final event’ will be sometime in 2025.
The new season picks up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley. The senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai – the world championships of karate.
The series is written by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg also executive produce the series alongside Will Smith, James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett, Susan Ekins, Ralph Macchio, and William Zabka.
Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Xolo Mariduena, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, and Gianni DeCenzo star.
All three parts are expected to air before Macchio once again pops up in the role for the next “The Karate Kid” film early next Summer.
