The first season finale of the “Star Wars” series “Ahsoka” ended with Ray Stevenson’s antagonistic Baylan Skoll not only surviving but still very much ‘in play’ as the Force-wielder was off on something of a treasure hunt on his own.
Standing on a mountain-sized sculpture of the Mortis gods on the planet Peridea in a distant galaxy, he’s seen gazing at a flickering light on a far off mountain – the source of an energy calling to him that ties back to the ancient Witch Kingdom of the Dathmiri.
Of course, Stevenson suddenly passed away after filming his role and as a result there has been the obvious question as to whether the character would appear again in the show’s second season.
Now it seems there’s confirmation that he will with scooper DanielRPK reporting that the production is currently seeking a “white man in his 50s/60s” to step into the role for the show’s second season.
The new report also suggests that Abeloth, aka “The Mother” – a Mortis God representing Chaos – might be introduced in the second season. If true, that could have a big impact on the “Star Wars” galaxy.
Filming on the second season of “Ahsoka” is expected to begin later this year, presumably ahead of a late 2025 or early 2026 airing.
