HBO has rounded out the cast of the “IT” prequel series “Welcome To Derry” with ten new additions set to join Bill Skarsgård who will reprise his Pennywise role from the films.
Joining the cast in recurring roles are Alixandra Fuchs (“Hatfields & McCoys”), Kimberly Guerrero (“The English”), Dorian Grey (“Star Trek: Discovery”), Thomas Mitchell (“Spiral”), BJ Harrison (“Maid”), Peter Outerbridge (“Batwoman”), Shane Marriott (“Fargo”), Chad Rook (“Billy the Kid”), Joshua Odjick (“Little Bird”) and Morningstar Angeline (“Westworld”).
Specifics of their roles are under wraps. They join already announced series regulars Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar and Stephen Rider.
The series is based on a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs who developed the series along with producers Roy Lee and Dan Lin.
All executive produce along with Skarsgård, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth and Shelley Meals.
Andy Muschietti, who helmed the two films, will direct four episodes of the nine-episode series. Fuchs and Kane serve as co-showrunners.
The series, which was originally slated as a Max original, will now be released via HBO and on Max simultaneously.
