“Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot has seemingly confirmed that further reshoots are underway on the live-action remake of “Snow White” at Disney Pictures.
Gadot posted a photo on her Instagram stories (via One Take News) late last week of an actor’s chair labeled “Evil Queen” and captioned the post “Feels Good To Be Back!”. Gadot plays the Evil Queen role opposite Rachel Zegler’s Snow White in the film.
The posting confirms separate reports that further reshoots were being done, though the reason for them remains unclear as several scoopers have offered differing reports on how well the film has tested so far.
The production has had issues in getting to the screen. Filming was to begin March 2020 but was stalled two years by the pandemic. It was then shot March-July 2022. Originally slated for release March this year, Disney delayed the film’s release by a whole year to March 21st 2025.
The Daily Mail reported at the time the delay was due to Disney trying to figure out what to do with the film which has been costly and, if it proves a financial disaster, it could impact Disney’s live-action remake plans in the future.
The film has been picked apart online, in part for comments made by Zegler in late 2022 about the live-action version being radically different to the original. The release of the first official still showing off the new ‘dwarves’/’magical creatures’ only fanned the flames.
Nonetheless, Disney is persevering with the film in the hopes of delivering something strong when it finally arrives in cinemas in March next year.
