Apple TV+ has premiered the first photo from its new series “Disclaimer” starring Cate Blanchett and directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
The series tells the story of respected television documentary journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) who has built a career on revealing the concealed transgressions of long-respected institutions.
One day she receives a mysterious novel that sets her as the main character and reveals all of her deepest, darkest secrets.
As she seeks the writer’s true identity, she must confront her past before it destroys her family and everything she’s built in the present.
Also onboard are comedian/actor Sacha Baron Cohen as Catherine’s husband who is a lawyer, Kodi Smit-McPhee (“The Power of the Dog”) as Catherine’s son, Hoyeon Jung (“Squid Game”) as Catherine’s hard-working aide.
Also onboard are acting veteran Kevin Kline along with Lesley Manville (“The Crown”) and Louis Partridge (“Enola Holmes”) who all have roles tied to the mystery of Catherine’s past.
“Disclaimer” premieres October 11th on the Apple TV+ service.
