Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto (“The Night Comes for Us,” “May the Devil Take You”) has been set to take the helm of the sequel to the 2021 action thriller “Nobody”.
Universal Pictures indicates “Nobody 2” will begin production in August this year ahead of an August next year release. Sources say Connie Nielsen will return as Becca Mansell, the wife to Odenkirk’s lead. No other casting has been announced.
The film follows a family man whose true assassin identity is revealed after two thieves break into his home. He is soon pulled into a bloody war with a Russian crime boss.
The first film’s screenwriter Derek Kolstad is on board to pen the sequel alongside Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk and Umair Aleem. Marc Provissiero, Braden Aftergood, David Leitch and Kelly McCormick all produce.
Ilya Naishuller directed the first film which made $57 million. “Nobody 2” will release on August 15th next year.
