Galactus won’t be the only iconic villain to show in Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four” according to a new report.

DanielRPK is reporting that along with Galactus and the Shalla-Bal version of Silver Surfer, the film will reportedly feature multiple villains from the comics in small roles.

The outlet specifically cites that the idea is for a number of villains to appear in the first act – the heroes protecting Earth various threats before more elaborate off-world adventures.

Specifics of the plot are under wraps but it’s increasingly looking like a film that starts out in an 1960s alternate universe before the group end up in the Earth-616 universe that is the MCU.

The film’s cast includes Perdro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as John Storm/Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach Ben Grimm/The Thin, Julia Garner as a female Shalla-Bal, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and both Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich in undisclosed roles.

Matt Shakman is directing the 1960s-set feature which is casting up ahead of shoot starting next month in the UK. It opens in cinemas on July 25th 2025.
