By It has been known for some time that the fourth season of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” will set some of its first few episodes in Los Angeles. Now we know why.
The new season sees Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) dealing with the end of the third season and the death of Charles’ stunt double & friend Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch).
Unclear if Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, the trio’s investigation leads them to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about their ‘Only Murders’ podcast.
A new photo released today has revealed the trio standing alongside their ‘movie’ counterparts, with actors Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, and Eva Longoria playing Charles, Oliver and Mabel, respectively.
After the LA-set scenes, the amateur sleuths race back to New York and cross their courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.
Returnees include Oscar winners Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Meryl Streep, along with Michael Cyril Creighton. Melissa McCarthy, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani and Richard Kind will also star in the new run.
“Only Murders in the Building” premieres its fourth season on August 27th via Hulu.
