Warner Bros. Pictures have released a new clip from “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” which is about to premiere at the Annecy Film Festival tomorrow ahead of a U.S. theatrical release on October 25th.
The buddy-comedy project marks the first fully animated non-compilation feature film in the Looney Tunes franchise to receive a cinema release.
The film begins with a series of antics at the bubblegum factory. In the wake of this, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig discover a secret alien plot to take over the Earth via mind-control.
The duo must work together to stop the aliens, while trying to avoid driving each other insane. Pete Browngardt makes his feature directorial debut on the film which was written by Kevin Costello.
The clip sees Daffy Duck and Porky Pig prepare their house for an inspection, only to discover too late that they’ve missed something rather important for any home.
Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, Peter MacNicol, Fred Tatasciore, and Laraine Newman lend their voices to this spin-off of the recent “Looney Tunes Cartoons” series which ran on HBO Max from 2020-2023.
