Netflix has released the first clip for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,” the about to release fourth film in the Eddie Murphy-led action-comedy franchise.
Decades after the last entry, Detective Axel Foley (Murphy) is back on the beat in Beverly Hills.
After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner Bobby (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.
The clip sees Axel and Bobby hijacking a police helicopter, a problem as trained pilot Bobby has some unresolved PTSD regarding his last stint in a chopper.
Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot and Kevin Bacon co-star in the film which is directed by Mark Molloy from a screenplay written by Will Beall, Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, based on the characters created by Danilo Bach and Daniel Petrie, Jr.
Murphy, Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman produce “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” which premieres July 3rd on Netflix.
