Anora
NEON has confirmed that Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or winning movie “Anora” will get a limited U.S. theatrical release on October 18th.

Mikey Madison, Mark Eydelshteyn, Yuriy Borisov, Karren Karagulian, and Vache Tovmasyan star in the movie about a sex worker from Brooklyn, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and marries the son of a Russian oligarch. [Source: NEON]

Jordan Peele
A new report indicates that “Get Out” and “Nope” filmmaker Jordan Peele recently took a meeting at Marvel for one of their upcoming films. It’s not clear which one though, and was said to only be a meeting.

Peele’s recent producing efforts have struggled with both “Monkey Man” and “Candyman” underwhelming despite good reviews. [Source: The InSneider]

High and Low
Spike Lee has confirmed that his remake of Akira Kurosawa’s famed 1963 work “High and Low” has wrapped production. Denzel Washington stars in the film, his fifth time working with Lee.

The original starred Toshiro Mifune as an executive who becomes a victim of extortion when his chauffeur’s son is kidnapped by mistake and held for ransom. [Source: Instagram]

Riven
“Riven,” the sequel to iconic early PC game “Myst,” is getting a Unreal Engine-powered remake on June 25th and a trailer has been released. The title recreates the world in fully explorable 3D and supports both normal play and virtual reality. It hails from Cyan who developed the “Myst” 3D remake released in 2021.

Star Wars: Hunters
A launch trailer is here for the just released, free-to-play battle arena game “Star Wars: Hunters” on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

The galaxy’s favorite sporting event takes place on the planet of Vespaara and the trailer shows off several battlefields and plenty of Hunters ready to do battle. The game can be downloaded now for mobile platforms and Switch.
