Who would have ever believed that they would get a trilogy out of this? But they did. The crazy sons of bitches actually did it. The third movie in the Venom franchise, part of the cinematic universe formerly known as SPUMC, draws closer, and there is a trailer.
Venom: The Last Dance implies some finality, but there is still the small matter of some of Venom left behind in Peter Parker’s universe at the end of No Way Home. That is a story for another time.
This time around Eddie and his symbiote friend are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo is forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.
Shooting only wrapped about two months ago following strike-related delays. Co-stars include Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Peggy Lu, Stephen Graham, Rhys Ifans, Alanna Ubach, and Clark Backo. No Michelle Williams though.
Kelly Marcel steps up from writer on the first two movies to direct this. Venom: Let There Be Carnage director Andy Serkis was unable to return as director due to his commitments to Animal Farm, which he had delayed to work on Let There Be Carnage.
Venom: The Last Dance arrives on October 25th with plans for an IMAX release alongside the standard theatrical opening.
