If you are a borderline God with near-limitless power, how do you keep your feet on the ground? With some down-home, corn-fed Mid-Western upbringing and values. Smallville, Kansas provided this for Superman. Now Georgia is standing in for Kansas for the upcoming movie.
James Gunn’s Superman is carrying out some location shooting in LaGrange, Georgia with a property down there filling in for the Kent family farm.
The Everything_DCU Twitter page shared images from a resident and neighbor overlooking the shooting activity.
Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell will play Pa and Ma Kent. Whether these locations will appear in flashback, or if Clark will visit for some advice and guidance, is not known at this time.
Superman features David Corenswet as Clark / Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Co-starring are Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Milly Alcock is widely rumored to be appearing in at least a cameo as Supergirl.
Filming on Superman has been underway for 3 months now, and is expected to wrap in August. A teaser trailer will be being edited as we speak.
Superman is set for a July 2025 release.
