“Avengers” and “Dune” star Josh Brolin has joined the still expanding all-star cast of the next “Knives Out” film at Netflix.
Rian Johnson continues to quickly cast up “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” which sees Daniel Craig’s Southern-accented Benoit Blanc return alongside a bunch of potential suspects, victims and killer.
Brolin will join Josh O’Connor, Jeremy Renner, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack and Glenn Close.
In the film Blanc sets out to solve a new murder mystery in a yet-to-be-disclosed setting and another array of suspects. Further specifics are being kept under wraps.
The project is targeting an early June production start in the United Kingdom. Johnson and Ram Bergman are producing with plans for a late 2025 release on the streamer.
Brolin can currently be seen in the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s sci-fi western series “Outer Range”. The actor is now in production on Zach Cregger’s “Weapons”.
