By Former “Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam has scored the lead role in the Amazon Prime Video TV series adaptation of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’ multi-Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series “Criminal”.
Hunnam joins an expanding series regular cast which also includes Adria Arjona, Richard Jenkins and Kadeem Hardison. The story unfolds in an interlocking universe of crime stories.
Hunnam plays Leo, a brilliant master thief who sees all the angles, and specializes in plans with no guns and no violence. Like a chess player, Leo thinks three moves ahead.
Other crooks however think he’s a coward, especially compared to his father Tommy who was imprisoned for murdering the most feared man in the city, Teeg Lawless.
Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden are confirmed to direct the first four episodes. Brubaker, Phillips, Jordan Harper, Sarah Carbiener and Phillip Barnett executive produce for Legendary Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
