Another day, another actor is joining the cast of Rian Johnson’s third “Knives Out” movie ahead of filming next month in the UK.

This time, it is Marvel regular and “Mayor of Kingstown” star Jeremy Renner according to Deadline.

Renner, of course, was famously injured and at death’s door over a year ago before many months of physical therapy have allowed him to get back to work.

Johnson announced the third ‘Knives’ film’s title is “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” on Friday last week.

Renner joins a cast that includes Josh O’Connor, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny and Glenn Close alongside returnee Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc.

In the film Blanc sets out to solve a new murder mystery in a yet-to-be-disclosed setting and another array of suspects.

Johnson and Ram Bergman are producing with plans for a late 2025 release.
