Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that Santa Monica Studios’ “God of War: Ragnarok” is coming to PC with the game locking down a September 19th release date.
The port will feature unlocked frame rates, super ultrawide monitor support, a range of upscaling options (Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XESS), and also include the Valhalla DLC.
The title was originally released for PS4 and PS5 in November 2022, and within its first year sold over 15 million units.
A subsequent blog post about the game notes that an “Account for PlayStation Network is required” to run the game which is a single-player game only.
This marks a change from their most recent port “Ghost of Tsushima” which also had the requirement but only on the multiplayer component of the game, not the single player part which is the game’s main draw.
The restriction on ‘Ragnarok’ suggests the game will not be available to buy in any of the more than 170 countries where Steam is available but the PlayStation Network is not.
