Chris Hemsworth is in talks to star in the untitled “Transformers” & “G.I. Joe” crossover movie currently in the works at Paramount Pictures.
The move brings Hemsworth back to Paramount and Hasbro as he’s about to be seen voicing Optimus Prime in the animated feature “Transformers One”.
That film, which opens September 20th, reportedly had one of the highest test scores ever recorded for a Paramount Animation title.
Last year’s live-action “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” teased the crossover film which is inspired by a famed Marvel comic book back in the 1980s which mixed the franchises.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto & Don Murphy will produce while Steven Spielberg will executive produce.
The Transformers and G.I. Joe movies combined have grossed a lifetime total of $6 billion at the global box office.
