Theo James is having a moment. Following great success with The White Lotus and Guy Ritchie’s The Gentleman, he is now set to star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Fuze.

This is a modern heist thriller that started when an unexploded World War II bomb is unearthed on a construction site in the middle of London. When an area of the financial district is evacuated while efforts are made to disarm it, the stage is set for a daring heist in the now-empty heart of world finance.

David Mackenzie (Starred Up, Outlaw King, Hell or High Water) directs from a script by Ben Hopkins (Inside).

Gillian Berries, Sebastian Raybaud, and Callum Grant are producers. Giles Nuttgens (Hell or High Water, Hallam Foe, and The Deep End) is already on board as director of photography, and filming is set for this summer.

After The Gentleman, James has been mentioned as a potential James Bond with that role still vacant. There has been huge chatter about Taylor-Johnson for the role, too.

James leads an adaptation of Stephen King’s The Monkey coming early next year, co-starring Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood. Fuze has no release date currently.
