The Ark
Syfy has set a June 17th premiere date for the second season of its mystery sci-fi series “The Ark” which will also stream on Peacock. Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner are co-showrunners.

The story takes place a hundred years into the future as planetary colonization missions have begun. Things take a turn when the first of these missions, on a spacecraft known as Ark One, encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction. [Source: Syfy]

Blade Runner 2099
Filming on Amazon Prime Video’s new live-action “Blade Runner 2099” TV series is reportedly set to begin next month in Prague and Spain.

As previously reported, the series will see Michelle Yeoh take on the lead role while Jonathan van Tulleken (“Shogun”) helms the first two episodes. [Source: Collider]

Criminal
Adria Arjona (“Hit Man,” “Six Underground”) has joined the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series “Criminal” alongside Richard Jenkins. The series is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. Brubaker will serve as co-showrunner and executive producer along with Jordan Harper

Arjona will star as Greta, a sharp-tongued top-level car thief and driver and the widowed mother of Angie who is looking for a big score she can use to get her and her kid out of this life and into another one. [Source: Variety]

America’s Sweethearts
Netflix has shared the official trailer for its newest documentary series “America’s Sweethearts” offering unfiltered access to a full NFL season with the 2023-24 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad across seven episodes. The series is scheduled to start streaming on June 20th.
