By The cast of Rian Johnson’s third “Knives Out” is quickly expanding.
“Ripley” and “All of Us Strangers” star Andrew Scott is the latest to join the project which Johnson announced as being titled “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” on Friday.
Yesterday came word that Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny were onboard with their casting subsequently confirmed. Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan have also been rumored but not yet confirmed.
Daniel Craig is returning as detective Benoit Blanc of course with. a new murder mystery in a yet-to-be-disclosed setting and another colorful array of suspects.
Johnson has previously indicated there will again be a different sub-genre of the murder-mystery format used here in the way both “Knives Out” and “Glass Onion” felt different from each other.
Johnson and Ram Bergman are producing the film for Netflix which is rumored to begin production in early June.
Netflix paid more than $450 million for a pair of “Knives Out” sequels with the first released in 2022 and this new one aiming to arrive late 2025.
