The cast list of the next “Jurassic World” film is quickly expanding ahead of the film’s shoot in a few weeks going by a new report.
According to ComingSoon.net, multiple new cast members have been announced for supporting roles in the movie including “Baby Reindeer” creator/star Richard Gadd, “Saw” franchise star Tobin Bell, former “Supergirl” alum Mehcad Brooks, “Community” star Joel McHale, and “The Invisible Man” actor Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
None of the five new names have been officially announced as a part of the cast at this time. To date only four names have been linked to the project by the trades – Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
Glen Powell revealed he was offered the film but turned it down. The project is being penned by original “Jurassic Park” screenwriter David Koepp.
Plot details are under wraps but the film is said to not include any of the stars of prior installments and is being seen as a semi-reboot.
Gareth Edwards (“Rogue One”) is directing the film which is targeting a mid-June start of filming in London.
Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce and Steven Spielberg executive produces. Universal has already set a theatrical release of July 2nd 2025.
