Disney+ has released the trailer for “Descendants: The Rise Of Red,” its new Disney original film which will be made available on the SVOD service on July 12th.
Former Villain Kid Uma, now Auradon Prep’s newest principal, extends an invite to the school to another VK – Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts from Wonderland.
After the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red and Cinderella’s daughter Chloe travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.
The film’s cast includes Kylie Cantrall as Red, Malia Baker as Chloe Charming, China Anne McClain as Uma, Dara Reneé as Uliana, Ruby Rose Turner as Bridget, and Morgan Dudley as Ella.
Adults wise there’e Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Brandy Norwood as Cinderella, Paolo Montalban as King Charming, Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, Levin Valayil as Aladdin and Shazia Pascal as Jasmine.
The project marks the fourth in the “Descendants” franchise, and is more a spin-off of the previous three films than a direct sequel.
