By Though the first season of the “Wytches” animated series is not out yet, the project has scored an update from creator and showrunner Scott Snyder.
In the most recent posting of his newsletter, Snyder says the writer’s room for the second season will be getting started “in about a month” and they are “doing all the prep work for that right now”.
Based on the comic of the same name, “Wytches” tells the story of 17-year-old Sailor Rooks who moves with her family to the remote New England town of Litchfield, New Hampshire after an incident.
They soon discover that the town is home to dark, supernatural secrets – that a burrow of ancient creatures, ones that prey upon our darkest fears and desires, lurks beneath the town.
Amazon announced the project in February last year with the first season expected to go to air in 2025. Plan B and Project 51 Productions are producing the series.
