Netflix has offered the first bit of promotional material for the second season of its Neil Gaiman adaptation “The Sandman”.
The clip shows the line-up of Morpheus’ The Endless siblings with three more joining the mix in the new run.
The clip starts out with the return of Tom Sturridge as Dream, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, and Donna Preston as Despair.
Then it shows the three new additions – Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, Adrian Lester as Destiny, and Barry Sloane as The Prodigal/Destruction.
Other cast in the second season include Patton Oswalt as the voice of Matthew the Raven, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Ferdinand Kingsley as Hob Gadling, Stephen Fry as Gilbert / Fiddler’s Green, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain, Vanesu Samunyai as Rose Walker, and Razane Jammal as Lyta Hall
The live-action series is written by Gaiman and showrunner Allan Heinberg, based on the acclaimed author’s DC Comics of the same name and is executive produced by David S. Goyer.
