Disney’s Bob Iger has been taking every opportunity to push the “Quality Over Quantity” mantra whenever he speaks to anyone. This had been looking like it was felt particularly at Marvel, with multiple movies and series every year being pared back.

Deadpool & Wolverine is the studio’s sole cinematic effort this year. However, looking at their 2025 plans, and with a rumor layered across the top, it seems like 2025 might be fully loaded again.

2025 already has Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, The Fantastic Four, and Blade on deck. Now scooper Daniel Richtman says another movie will be squeezed in – Spider-Man 4 in collaboration with Sony.

To be fair to Marvel, it is probably Sony pulling the strings on this and Marvel has to toe the line to a degree if they want both their piece of the pie and to keep their sticky fingers on Spidey for his inclusion in their MCU.

His report says Sony wants the movie shooting this Fall for a late 2025 release. He also claims that the piece of Venom left on Earth-616 at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home will be in play, however, that could just be an educated, safe, guess.

Richtman also dropped other rumors, including a second season of Ms Marvel being considered, and Hailee Stanfield’s Kate Bishop being on the cusp of a return to the MCU.
