Marvel Studios has premiered a new 60-second spot for its upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” ahead of the film’s July 26th release. The TV spot announces the launch of ticket pre-sales for the movie.
While much of the clip is a cutdown version of the second trailer, there are still some new shots, some extended scenes, and a big new scene in the last few seconds.
The film ties back to the Time Variance Authority (TVA) from “Loki,” a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline.
Here they pull Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) from his quiet life and set him on a mission with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Rob Delaney, Stefan Kapicic, Karan Soni, Shioli Kutsuna and Jennifer Garner co-star.
The film, the sole theatrical release from Marvel Studios this year, is expected to be one of, if not the biggest opening weekend of a film in 2024.
Shawn Levy directs whilst Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells penned the film which will officially be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie.
