Paramount+ has announced its next “South Park” special which will be titled “South Park: The End of Obesity”.
The advent of new weight loss drugs has a huge impact on everyone in South Park. When Cartman is denied access to the life-changing medicine, the kids jump into action.
The new special targets the Ozempic craze and the teaser trailer sees Cartman being told by a doctor that his weight is out of control and that he needs to get on the drug.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s animated adult comedy has been renewed on Comedy Central through 2027 and will see cable’s longest-running scripted series go to a 30th season.
The one-off marks the seventh “South Park” special for the service which began with ‘Post Covid’ in 2021. That was followed by “Post Covid: The Return of Covid,” “The Streaming Wars,” “The Streaming Wars Part 2,” “Joining the Panderverse” and “Not Suitable for Children”.
“South Park: The End of Obesity” premieres May 24 on Paramount+.
