“Poker Face” star Natasha Lyonne is the latest to join the cast of Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four” according to Deadline.
Lyonne has landed an undisclosed role in the project which Matt Shakman is directing. The film is aiming to begin shooting mid-summer at Pinewood Studios in England.
The movie’s cast also includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Also onboard are Julia Garner as what’s called the ‘Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer’, along with Ralph Ineson as Galactus. Like Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich also have undisclosed roles in the film.
Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) directs from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, Eric Pearson and Ian Springer. The story is expected to unfold in the 1960s, potentially in another universe within the MCU.
A planned release date of July 25th 2025 is still marked out, but many wonder if Marvel Studios can reach that date.
