Two talented actresses from the British isles have set new projects.
First uo, Keira Knightley will star in a Simon Stone-directed feature film adaptation of Ruth Ware’s bestselling 2016 novel “The Woman in Cabin 10” for Netflix. Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse adapted the script.
The story follows the story of a journalist on board a luxury yacht for a travel assignment. While onboard she witnesses a passenger being thrown overboard late at night.
She’s soon told that it didn’t happen, as all passengers and crew are accounted for. Despite no one believing her, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger. [Source: Netflix]
Next, Emmy and BAFTA winner Jodie Comer is set to star in Kenneth Branagh’s new film “The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde”.
Branagh wrote and will direct the contemporary psychological thriller with plot specifics under wraps. Independently financed, it will begin production in August in the UK.
Tamar Thomas, Laura Berwick, Becca Kovacik, Matthew Jenkins, Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau produce. Comer will be seen in “The Bikeriders” next month and is about to shoot Danny Boyle’s “28 Years Later.
