Filming on the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us” has been underway in Vancouver since the end of January and so far the production has been able to keep plenty under wraps.

To date set photos have mostly seen locations in the Canadian city and surrounding environs transformed into the game and show’s signature look of cities overgrown by nature.

Today, some shots have emerged over at Canadagraphs finally offering a first look at Bella Ramsey’s Ellie and her girlfriend Dina (Isabela Merced) in the second season with Ellie and Dina on horseback and outside a Weston’s Pharmacy building.

Fans of the game will potentially recognise the name as such stores featured in both the “Left Behind” DLC and the early parts of “The Last of Us Part II”. One set redressing also sees the familiar rainbow pride crosswalk from the game recreated in live-action.

It’s expected “The Last of Us Part II” game narrative will be split across a second and third season in order to do justice to the story that was double the length of the first game.

The cast for the new run also includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Young Mazino as Jesse, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, and Spencer Lord as Owen.

“The Last of Us” Season 2 is expected to premiere next year on HBO. Head over to Canadagraphs to see the shots of Bella and Isabela, check out some location photos below.
