By Assassin’s Creed: Shadows
Ubisoft have announced that the next “Assassin’s Creed” game will be titled “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows” with the first cinematic trailer for the feudal Japan-set game to be released this Wednesday May 15th at 9am US-PT. The project, previously dubbed ‘Codename Red,’ is expected out sometime before March 2025. [Source: Ubisoft]
2024 MTV Movie & TV Awards
The 2024 MTV Movie & TV Awards have officially been cancelled, the company will skip this year and is expected to return in a reimagined format in 2025. The strike-impacted 2023 edition pivoted to a pre-taped show and that format tweak may permanently stay. [Source: Deadline]
Downton Abbey
Paul Giamatti, Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Beale and Arty Froushan have all joined the cast of the third “Downton Abbey” feature film. Untitled Jason Statham Project
Jason Statham is set to lead an untitled new action-thriller from director “Everest” and “Contraband” director Baltasar Kormákur with filming to begin in November in the UK and Iceland. Ward Parry penned the script.
Statham will play a man who lives in isolation in a remote Scottish island. When he rescues a young girl from the ocean in a terrible storm, he sets a chain of events in motion that brings a violent attack to his hideaway, forcing him back into the world. [Source: Deadline]

Lacey Chabert (“Mean Girls,” “Party of Five,” “Lost in Space”) has officially been cast in Netflix’s holiday romantic comedy movie “Hot Frosty”. Dustin Milligan, Craig Robinson, Joe Lo Truglio, Katy Mixon, Lauren Holly and Chrishell Stause co-star.

A new promo video for John Krasinski’s “IF,” starring Ryan Reynolds,” is out and showcases some never-before-seen ‘auditions’ for the film.
In the clip, Krasinski and star Cailey Fleming see the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants, Optimus Prime, the Paw Patrol, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles all trying for roles in the film.
