Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek Pinault and Brendan Fraser are all set to star in “Athena” director Romain Gavras’ new film “Sacrifice”.

Gavras and Will Arbery penned the English-language film in which a high-end charity gala is raided by a violent group of radicals on a mystical quest to fulfil a prophecy.

Evans plays a failing movie star who tries to get back into the spotlight at the gala, only to get upstaged & kidnapped by the group.

Taylor-Joy plays the passionate leader of the group who is set to sacrifice both the film star and two others.

The new film is said to be more satirical than his politically charged urban war film “Athena” along with weaving in Greek mythological elements.

More actors will be set shortly with the film set to be sold at Cannes in a few weeks. Gavras, Evans, Taylor-Joy and Robert Walak will all produce.

Shooting on the project is aiming to begin in September.
