Amazon Prime Video has announced a July 11th launch date and revealed the first poster for “Sausage Party: Foodtopia”

The series serves as a spin-off to 2016’s “Sausage Party,” an R-rated animated comedy directed by Conrad Vernon. Plot specifics of the series are under wraps.

The film followed Frank (Seth Rogen) the sausage, Brenda (Kristen Wiig) the hot dog bun, Teresa Taco (Salma Hayek) and Sammy Bagel Jr. (Edward Norton) who learn the horrifying truth that all will eventually become a meal.

After warning his pals about their similar fate, they devise a plan to escape from their human enemies. The original film made $141.3 million at the global box office from a $19 million budget.

Rogen, Wiig and Norton are back, as are Michael Cera as Barry and David Krumholtz as Kareem Abdul Lavash. Additionally Will Forte, Natasha Rothwell, Sam Richardson, and Yassir Lester have been cast in undisclosed roles.

The series is written by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir who also executive produce alongside Rogen, Vernon, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Alex McAtee Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu, Andrew Millstein,
