Riz Ahmed has joined Wes Anderson’s next feature which is currently shooting in Berlin.
It marks the acclaimed “Sound of Metal,” “Nightcrawler” and “The Night Of” actor’s first involvement in an Anderson film, the celebrated auteur famous for sticking to a group of regulars in his features.
As per usual for Anderson, it’s an ensemble piece with several familiar names including returnees like Benicio Del Toro and Bill Murray along with other first-timers like Michael Cera.
Specifics of the film’s plot are under wraps, but the film has a script from Anderson and Roman Coppola.
Filming was to begin in the Fall of last year but the strikes pushed production back.
No distributor is set at this stage, Anderson’s previous works have spread across a number of outlets from Searchlight to Focus Features to most recently Netflix where he won an Oscar for his short film work.
