A recent post on Skybound Entertainment’s Republic crowdfunding site has indicated that Amazon’s animated “Invincible” series has reportedly been renewed for both a fourth and fifth season.
Said site, which allows fans to invest in the company, earlier today began advertising a video game based on the “Invincible” universe that fans could invest in.
On the listing it was noted that the third season of the Amazon series was in production with Seasons 4 and 5 already renewed. The listing has since been edited to now only mention that Season 3 is in production, but the internet never forgets mistakes (eg. DH’s ‘Mark Buffalo’ incident) or a potential slip-up early reveal.
The game is reportedly coming from an AAA developler stacked with industry vets from EA, Activision Blizzard and Epic Games. Over thirty employees are developing the first in-house AAA game based on the property.
As for what the game will contain, they say if you follow the TV series then “you can imagine exactly what to expect from this video game: tons of action, stunning game and character design, and of course, a healthy dose of blood”.
Whether any of the voice cast from the series will work on the video game – stars like Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Walton Goggins, Zazie Beetz, and Mark Hamill – is unclear at this time.
