Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are reportedly targeting a late September filming start for the upcoming fourth Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” film.

Scooper Daniel Richtman (via CBM first reported that news, saying should things proceed smoothly we could see a new Spidey in cinemas by as early as late 2025.

That would mark a four-year gap between “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and the next title – the longest gap between “Spider-Man” films since the five year break between Maguire’s last and Garfield’s first films.

The big catch is the film currently has no director, and Richtman reiterates that no filmmaker is attached, though he adds that an offer is out to someone.

The likes of Drew Goddard and Justin Lin are among the names rumored for the gig in times past, but both recently commited to new projects including a “The Matrix” reboot and the thriller “Stakehorse” respectively.

Sony has tried to launch their own “Spider-Man” spin-offs in recent years to mostly disastrous results with the likes of “Morbius” and “Madame Web”.
