A new job listing at EA studio Cliffhanger Games is seeking a principal sandbox designer to work on the upcoming “Marvel’s Black Panther” video game announced back in July last year.
The listing has revealed that the new title will be an open world game, with applicants being sought to design and populate “encounters, systems, and gameplay within a dynamic and evolving open world”.
This joins the previously confirmed fact that the title will be a third-person, single-player AAA title and boast plenty of design veterans from “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor,” “God of War,” “Halo Infinite,” “Call of Duty” and more.
It’s also said to offer players: “more agency and control over their narrative than they have ever experienced in a story-driven video game.”
Considered the first major game centered on the character, it will allow players to assume the mantle of Wakanda’s superhero protector. Cliffhanger Games is developing the title in collaboration with Marvel Games.
EA does not have an expected release date at this time which is not surprising as the game is still early in development
