Comedian and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Andy Samberg is teaming with “Ready or Not” and “Scream VI” filmmakers Radio Silence on a new comedy film.
Currently untitled, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct whilst Andrew Lanham will write the film which is being dubbed a “robot comedy”.
No further details are available beyond it being developed as a potential starring vehicle for Samberg (who is also producing) and at least four offers are out to acquire it at this point.
They’re not the only star-director duo set for an untitled project announced today. Oscar winner Emma Stone is set to star in her husband Dave McCary’s new film – his second directorial effort following his 2017 debut “Brigsby Bear”.
Plot specifics on that one are under wraps, but it is being written by Patrick Kang and Michael Levin. Also onboard are the “Stranger Things” producing team of Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levine who will produce along with Michael H. Weber.
Stone is coming off the success of “Poor Things” and will soon be seen in “Kinds of Kindness,” “Save the Green Planet!” and “Eddington” and recently produced “A Real Pain” and “I Saw the TV Glow”.
