By Emmy winner Paul Walter Hauser (“Black Bird,” “Richard Jewel”) will star as the late comedy icon Chris Farley in a biopic about the man.
The energetic Farley skyrocketed to fame on “Saturday Night Live”, parlaying that fame into a comedy film career which included films like “Tommy Boy” and “Beverly Hills Ninja”.
Following a long battle with addiction, he died in 1997 at the age of just 33.
Actor-filmmaker Josh Gad is attached to direct and “Saturday Night Live” patriarch Lorne Michaels will produce the project which has the blessing of the Farley family.
Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are penning the script based on Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby’s biography “The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts”
Hauser has Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” and Doug Liman’s “The Instigators” coming up.
