By Current Lois Lane actress Rachel Brosnahan has posted a photo of co-star David Corenswet’s pet dog on the set of James Gunn’s currently shooting “Superman” film, and in the process may have revealed a little something.
The photo sees the pooch sitting in Brosnahan’s chair whilst in the background there appears to be a red cape being draped – one with the classic Superman bright red color scheme and simple design.
To date all we’ve seen of Corenswet’s Superman costume has been an extreme close-up of his “Kingdom Come”-inspired chest insignia. Gunn teased the other day he was “almost ready” to reveal what Corenswet looks like in the suit.
Following the dog-cape photo being posted, someone asked Gunn about it on Threads and whether that’s the cape to which Gunn responded with only several thinking face emojis.
This follows Gunn debunking rumors the other day that the character will face off with Ultraman as the film’s villain saying Lex Luthor is very much the primary antagonist of the film.
Gunn also indicated the film was around 18% completed as of this week and still has plenty more filming to take place. Also starring in the film are Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White. Milly Alcock is also expected to cameo as Supergirl .
“Superman” will hit cinemas on July 11th 2025.
