“Killing Eve” and “Free Guy” actress Jodie Comer is rumored to be in talks to join the cast of Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s “28 Years Later”.
DanielRPK broke the story, indicating the acclaimed actress is up for this follow-up to Boyle’s own acclaimed 2000 horror film “28 Days Later”.
The project is the first in a trilogy of movies for Sony Pictures and reportedly has a $60 million budget.
Oscar winner Cillian Murphy is rumored to be reprising his role from “28 Days Later,” but that remains to be confirmed even as the actor himself has teased the possibility.
Murphy is serving as an executive producer on the film though, but story specifics remain tightly under wraps.
With production set to begin next month, expect more casting news sooner rather than later. Comer will next be seen alongside Austin Butler and Tom Hardy in “The Bikeriders”.
